Bye Bye 2015!

Today is the final day of 2015! I have to say it has been a wonderful year and I have created many memories that I will cherish for years to come. In my last blog post (which you can read here) I spoke about my new year's resolutions and one of them is to blog a lot more. This is so when I look back on 2016 I will be able to go back through my blog and reminisce about the great times I'm sure we're about to have.

I want to dedicate this blog post to everyone who made my 2015 as amazing as it was, and to say thank you I have selected a few pictures to share with you of some of my favourite moments from this year.

I hope you enjoyed this year as much as I did!

See you soon, Beth x

My New Year's Resolutions

I'm not normally the type of person who bothers with new year resolutions. I have always thought they were a bit pointless and created too much pressure for people to try and stick to them. However this year I feel different about it. I've been almost more excited about the new year than I was about Christmas (almost)! I've got lots of exciting things coming up and lots of things I want to do next year!

I've been thinking about why resolutions don't work out for many people and I've come up with a few reasons why.

They're too general

If you just say "I want to lose weight" or "I want to read more" then you're not really giving yourself a proper goal. If you make it more specific like "I want to read at least 2 books a month" (thats one of mine!) then you've actually set a target for yourself to reach and it will be much easier for you to reach your goal.

They're too big

Notice how I said "I want to read at least 2 books a month" not "I want to read 12 books a month". Thats because I know I'm a pretty slow reader and 12 a month is way too much for me and just pretty unrealistic anyway. Don't put too much pressure on yourself! I honestly think the best way to achieve your goals is to start small and work your way up!

You don't follow through

Okay, so you've decided on a target that is realistic for you. What now? Deciding you want to "lose 2 stone by April" is great! But now you need to create an action plan to get there! Whatever your resolution is, try and plan out little things you can do to reach your goal. Maybe get a journal or a diary to keep track of your progress and organize yourself or maybe you could start a blog so you can document your progress. A blog would also be a great way to find other people with similar resolutions to you and support is extremely important in helping you achieve your goals! It's probably a good idea to get these things in place before the new year so you are ready to go by January 1st!

One more really important thing to remember is that you don't need to wait until January to make changes to your life, and if it gets to March and you realise you've gone off track, that doesn't matter! It's never too late to start.

I hope this helps you! My goals for 2016 are centred around my blog and script writing, what are yours? Leave me a comment with your resolutions for 2016!

I hope you have a fabulous end to 2015
